TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before confirming your booking at Glen Ormond Country House.

Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in: Between 14:00 and 18:00

  • Check-out: By 10:00

  • Early check-in or late check-out is only permitted with prior arrangement.

Payments

  • One-night bookings: 100% payment required at the time of booking.

  • Stays longer than one night: A 50% deposit is required within 72 hours (3 days) of making a booking, whether booked online or directly.

  • If no deposit is received within this period, the booking may be cancelled without further notice.

  • The balance is due on arrival and can be paid via cash or card. Please note: Amex and Diner’s Club cards are not accepted.

Occupancy and Visitors

  • The number of guests may not exceed the unit’s stated maximum occupancy.

  • No day visitors are allowed without prior arrangement.

  • No pets are allowed under any circumstances.

House Rules

  • Respect the environment, the farm setting, and fellow guests at all times.

  • It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that all members of their group are aware of these terms.

  • Linen and towels are provided.

  • A complimentary starter pack of tea, coffee, milk, and sugar is supplied.

  • Smoking is not permitted indoors.

  • No parties, events, or functions may be held without prior arrangement and booking.

  • Do not move furniture, utensils, or décor items between cottages.

  • Firearms and airguns are strictly prohibited.

  • No loud music is allowed, and no music at all is permitted after 22:00.

  • Motorbikes and quad bikes may only be used for transport, not recreation.

Servicing and Cleaning

  • Cottages can be serviced daily.

  • On weekends and public holidays, cleaning staff are available until 13:00.

  • Please allow them access if you would like the cottage cleaned.

  • Refuse is collected and removed daily by our staff.

Insects and Farm Environment

  • Please be aware that Glen Ormond is in a farming area, and insects (including flies and mosquitos) are part of the environment.

  • Battery-operated Ultramatic fly sprays and monthly perimeter sprays are used to help manage this.

  • Mosquito repellent (Tabard) and Doom are provided for your convenience.

Damage and Liability

  • Glen Ormond reserves the right to charge for breakages, property loss, or damage to the environment.

  • Guests displaying offensive or unlawful behaviour will be asked to leave immediately.

  • The use of facilities is at your own risk.

  • Glen Ormond is not liable for loss or damage caused by fire, theft, or any other cause.

  • Guests indemnify Glen Ormond Country House against any claims arising from their stay.

Additional Policies

  • Management reserves the right to allocate accommodation on a best-fit basis.

  • In emergencies, guests may be relocated to an alternative unit, if available.

  • Lost property will be held for 30 days and may be subject to a collection or courier fee.

  • A fee may be charged for late departure.

Before Departure

Please ensure the following before leaving your cottage:

  • All windows are closed

  • All appliances (fans, heaters, ovens, electric blankets) are turned off

  • No fires or heaters are left unattended

  • Keys are returned to reception

Cancellations and Unforeseen Circumstances

  • Guests remain liable for payment in the event of missed check-ins due to weather, road closures, or other unforeseen issues.

  • Our standard cancellation policy will apply in these cases.
